MANIFESTO:
What is it that scares you?
Theatre is a means of connection- pulling communities together into an audience, filtering all those disparate lives and experiences through the lens of a performer onstage, leading us to link ideas that we might never have thought to match together. The means of connection doesn’t matter- joy, fear, rage, these all are just points that we can use to connect.
My artistic practice is shaped around fake blood, synthesizers, and circus arts- which I use to remind my audience that they have a body and shake them to their core. My art is based around my own embodied practice-and so the audience and I will feel the joy of having gone through something harrowing together.
The world is full of wonders, let’s laugh together!
The world is full of terrors, let’s scream together!
Queer joy, queer art, queer horror.
